Impact Washington – NIST MEP Invests in Building a Foundation for Change to Deliver Exceptional Results to the Manufacturing Community

Wednesday, April 12, 2023 | News Release

The company is committed to being a change-competent organization focused on providing the most value to clients and industry partners.

Bothell, WA (April 12, 2023) - Impact Washington, an affiliate of the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Manufacturing Extension Program (NIST MEP), has been investing in being a change-competent organization to improve processes and build a culture that embraces change.

Impact Washington is immediately adding a Senior Program Manager/Change Leader to the organization. Sarah Stuart will fill this position and report to Impact Washington’s newly appointed Chief Operating Officer, Jessica Ingle. "Sarah is the ideal person for this new role as she is capable and dedicated. She is well-respected within the organization and, as a long-time employee, understands the business goals and strategies we need to achieve,” says Ingle.

Stuart has dedicated the last 21 years to working at Impact Washington. She is a process improvement and change management specialist with a proven track record of increasing product speed and reducing costs. Focusing on Lean Six Sigma and quality systems, Sarah takes a holistic approach to identifying opportunities, developing solutions, managing initiatives, and identifying the resources and disciplines needed to execute continuous improvement and deliver the operational transformation that provides the most value.

In response to global disruption, the manufacturing sector has changed dramatically since 2020. Manufacturing leaders today continue to navigate uncertainty while battling cost pressures and undergoing initiatives to bolster security, efficiency, and innovation.

“We are committed to being a change-competent organization constantly searching for ways to improve and grow as the industry changes and opportunities present themselves," says President and Center Director Deloit R. Wolfe Jr. “We want to ensure that any business changes are implemented quickly and realized to their full potential through effective change leadership. Given the current opportunities in Washington state, our clients and industry partners need us to be the most effective organization we can be.”

In addition to adding Stuart, because executives and senior managers play a critical role in the outcome of a change, every member of the Impact Washington Leadership became a certified PROSCI Change Practitioner in early 2023.
