Reorganization puts more resources in the field to help Washington manufacturers innovate, grow and reach new markets
Bothell, WA (Oct. 25, 2019) – Impact Washington will boost outreach and services to its new manufacturing clients, underserved small and rural businesses, and local food manufacturers, under a reorganization announced this week.
Impact Washington’s newly streamlined Client and Outreach team will see more client engagement to support innovation across the entire manufacturing base and address industry trends, including advanced robotic manufacturing, cybersecurity, and workforce training and development.
Impact Washington is a 23-year-old nonprofit organization that works with Washington manufacturing businesses to improve capacity and production, reduce costs, and become more globally competitive. Services include lean training, supply chain consulting, and growth and strategy consulting.
“Impact Washington knows the needs of manufacturers across the state,” said Deloit R. Wolfe, Jr., President/Center Director of Impact Washington. “By streamlining our teams, we will better deliver long-term impact and support to the Washington manufacturing community, providing solutions, services, and leadership across all industry sectors.”
Key Impact Washington teams now include:
Client Outreach and Engagement Group comprised of Account Executives, new solution development process, and center outreach initiatives is led by Carol Blayden as Director of Marketing & Client Engagement. Dave Neirescher will expand his Puget Sound Account Executive Role and take on additional responsibilities as the Client Engagement Manager. In this role, he’ll manage the relationship between the Account Executive Team needs and Business Operations Group. Primary responsibilities focus on collecting and reporting on engagement metrics, collaborating with Account Team on operational changes, and managing solution development projects related to Impact Washington’s clients’ future needs.
Business Operations and Process Development Group led by the newly appointed Deputy Center Director, Jessica Ingle. This group assists Impact Washington in the formulation and implementation of plans and policies necessary to comply with the Center’s National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Manufacturing Extension Program (NIST MEP) status and carry out the mission of the organization. This group has responsibility for developing process improvements and providing support services to the entire organization, including the selection of resource partners. Sarah Stuart will expand her role as Account Executive and take the lead on process improvement and compliance projects for the Center in her role as Compliance and Process Specialist.
Finance Operations Group comprised of the centers accounting functions, the head for this group will be announced soon.
All group leads report directly to President/Center Director Wolfe, who will continue to focus on building and cultivating productive relationships with Federal and State officials and agencies, legislators, public/nonprofit, and private/third-party individuals and organizations.
Wolfe was named Impact Washington head in July 2019 following the death of Director Tab Wilkins earlier in the year.
“Today’s announcement marks a significant milestone in the Center’s continued recovery and ongoing development after losing Tab unexpectedly in March of this year,” said Joe Heim, Impact Washington Chairman of the Board. “The restructuring of new and existing roles within our leadership team will position Impact Washington for continued success. It will enhance our ability to synchronize our efforts around our mission and support manufacturers in Washington State.”
