Nick Wilkes Joins Impact Washington Team as Central-Eastern Region Account Executive

Impact Washington, an affiliate of the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Manufacturing Extension Program (NIST MEP), is pleased to announce the hiring of Nick Wilkes as Account Executive to support manufacturers in the Central and Eastern part of the state, effective immediately.

Impact Washington’s high-caliber team of Account Executives serves the needs of manufacturers across the state in all industry sectors. Wilke’s appointment underscores Impact Washington’s continued efforts to support manufacturers in every corner of the state. In his role, Wilkes will help accelerate growth and further strengthen the manufacturing community by ensuring that manufacturers and partners understand the full range in which Impact Washington can support the community as a whole.  Expertise includes our unparalleled bench of client services and proven processes in workforce development, growth, innovation, and operational excellence.

Wilkes has three years of experience working within the NIST MEP National Network. As Regional Director of Impact Utah, he developed an Organizational Excellence Assessment to understand manufacturers’ most pressing issues and align resources that drove P&L level impacts. Nick also grew strategic partnerships in Utah's manufacturing community to maximize the Center's value to manufacturers. Before joining Impact Utah, Wilkes held leadership positions at 7 facilities within Precision Castparts in Operations Management, Production Control, and Program Management capacities. Most recently, Nick directed a cross-functional Program Management team of 8 individuals responsible for executing $100 million of annual deliveries for commercial aerospace, business jet, and military missile manufacturing contracts.

Nick has broad experience in manufacturing methods, including investment casting, forging, composite fabrication, welding, and machining.

Wilkes is responsible for all business development activities in the central and eastern regions of the state, including delivering Impact Washington's client engagement and impact strategy.  He becomes a vital member of the Account Executive team, ensuring the Center's regional outreach and service offerings meet manufacturers' needs. Nick holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Utah.
