The Tab Wilkins Mark of Excellence award specifically commends a Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Center that has exceeded expectations by developing and executing an exemplary initiative that supports its regional manufacturing community, the national manufacturing industry, and the broader MEP National Network.

The award recognizes a Center that has undertaken a manufacturing-focused initiative with significant public benefits, such as job preservation or growth, heightened public awareness of manufacturing's importance, strengthening the entire MEP National Network of Centers, or enhancing the reputation of the National Network by playing an exceptional role within its served community.
