LECP

LECP Program: Empowering Manufacturers on the Journey of Continuous Improvement

Impact Washington’s Lean Enterprise Certificate Program (LECP) is an exceptional starting point for any manufacturer seeking to embark on a transformative continuous improvement journey. Developed by the esteemed Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), this program equips participants with essential Lean training and experience, empowering them to become true "Lean Champions" within their company.

Throughout the LECP Program, participating employees gain fluency in the universal language of lean principles. They learn to draw a current state map, analyze existing processes, identify non-value-added activities, and envision a future state map that eradicates unnecessary actions and waste.

The outcomes of this comprehensive training are outstanding. Learn more here

The Washington State Department of Commerce, in partnership with the Association of Washington Business and the Department of Children, Youth, and Families, is offering no-cost, professional business consultations, resources, and a broad range of solutions and tools to support employers in becoming family-friendly.

This program strives to reduce the tension between work and family, creating work-life harmony and building a workplace culture that enables employees and businesses to thrive.

Availability of and access to childcare helps people go to work. Still, many working families, parents, and caregivers participating in educational pursuits, job training, apprenticeships, or job-seeking struggle to find care in their community and flexibility within their workplace. Research shows that family-friendly policies and practices are good for business, company culture, employee recruitment and retention, and the company's bottom line. Learn more about the program here
