HDT Bio Needed Increased Cybersecurity to Make Vaccines for the U.S. Government

HDT Bio is a clinical-stage, private Seattle-based biopharmaceutical development company with a team of about 50 people working on cutting-edge vaccine development to combat viruses, prevent infectious diseases, and treat cancers. 

Situation

HDT Bio received grants to manufacture vaccines for the U.S. government. But first, it had to implement a cybersecurity system and protocol that would meet the required standards and be ready for future compliance updates necessary to handle government information. The company reached out to Impact Washington to help navigate this challenge and move forward with its work for the government.

Solution

An assessment of the current cybersecurity situation was conducted, a statement of work was created, and grants were sought. Impact Washington connected HDT Bio with resource partner CyberStreams, which did the work.
