Damon has dedicated the last 19 years to a career in non-profit/university-based research and economic development services, focusing on serving manufacturers. From his beginnings as a data analyst for the Georgia Tech Research Institute, he has delivered consistent value-added results for industrial clients through expertise in industrial engineering, lean manufacturing, and workplace safety and health.
He recently served as the Group Manager of Operational Excellence for the Georgia Manufacturing Extension Partnership (GaMEP) at Georgia Tech. He led a team in process improvement, quality management, food and workplace safety, and advanced technology implementation. He delivered an annual group portfolio of 240 industrial consulting and training projects, generating over $500M in surveyed annual average sales, cost savings, and investment impacts for stakeholders.
Damon is a collaborator with a passion for problem-solving and a heart for the challenges faced by small manufacturers. He brings broad experience in the MEP National Network. He looks forward to partnering with Washington’s manufacturers and vibrant industry and economic development eco-system to create a continuing and productive manufacturing future.
