Scientific Problem Solving and Six Sigma Green Belt

RESOLVE PERSISTENT PROBLEMS WITH THE RIGHT INFORMATION

If you're like many companies today, you may be relying on a group of internal 'firefighters' to quickly handle any problems or issues that arise.  Unfortunately, these key people tend to focus on the immediate concern - they put out the fire and resolve the symptoms but leave the root cause untouched and likely to occur again.

EQUIP YOUR EMPLOYEES WITH DISCIPLINED METHODS TO GET AT ROOT CAUSES, SYSTEMATICALLY COLLECT DATA TO ANALYZE SITUATIONS, AND UNDERSTAND SCIENTIFIC PROBLEM-SOLVING STEPS

Provide your employees with a more disciplined process for clarifying the root cause of the problems and using scientific tools to develop and implement corrective actions.

Scientific Problem-Solving/Six Sigma approaches identify and rectify opportunities in your manufacturing process by:

  • Reducing operational costs
  • Improving efficiency and accuracy
  • Enhancing customer service
  • Increasing cash flow
  • Improving regulatory compliance
After attending, people in your organization will have a new toolset that will let them put out daily fires, dig deeper into the root causes of the problems, and eliminate them from recurring. Continually eradicating the issues will become your new culture, and you'll see a substantial and immediate improvement in your organization's key metrics.

ROADMAP TO RESOLVING ISSUES USING A STRUCTURED METHODOLOGY

Leveraging proven, scientific problem-solving techniques, our process can take participants to Six Sigma Green Belt-level knowledge.  The workshop will produce trained Six Sigma employees capable of supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Scientific Problem Solving: By working through real challenges your company is experiencing, attendees will gain knowledge and experience using a time-tested, disciplined problem-solving process.

Tools include statistical data analysis, Six Sigma Concepts, PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act), and designed experiments to identify underlying variations in process variables and improve product quality and production performance.

Six Sigma Green Belt: This program focuses on project planning, statistical process control, hypothesis testing, and an overview of the primary Six Sigma tools.Participants will receive training on data collection and analysis, process mapping, and experiment design.

WORKSH0P FORMAT:

A typical engagement involves a five-day workshop followed by four 4-hour coaching sessions. The format consists of four modules:

  • Definition and Measurement - Project planning, team development, data types, statistics, and process capability
  • Analysis- Process mapping tools, gauge R&R, data distributions, 5 Whys, 8D, cause and effect matrix, and FMEA
  • Improvement and Control Lean tools overview and SPC
  • Deployment- Practical deployment of tools and methods
