Impact Washington Teams Up with Local Partners To Offer Robotics Workshops in 2020

Monday, December 9, 2019 | News Release, Growth and Innovation

Innovative partnership integrates local expertise to help Washington State manufacturers learn how cobots can add value to their workforce challenges.

Individuals from Impact Washington, Rapid Design Solutions, Universal Robotics, and Fanuc have joined together to offer Washington state manufacturers a series of full-day Interactive Workshops on Collaborative Robots.

Impact Washington will host a full-day interactive workshop in five regions throughout the state. This introductory workshop offers attendees the opportunity to learn the fundamentals that they need to aware of, an overview of the fundamental methodology and tools that will help employ robotic process automation in their organization. Participants will learn how collaborative robotics (also referred to as “cobots”) can add value to their company, boost productivity and improve reliability.

Workshop topics include robot automation basics, ROI fundamentals, integration of robotics and safety best practices, and collaborative robotic implementation steps and what to expect.  Robotic manufacturers and integrators will be on hand to showcase live demonstrations and applications for collaborative uses.

We feel we have successfully developed a workshop around collaborative robots that any manufactures would want to attend,” says Dave Nierescher, Client Engagement Manager of Impact Washington. “We’ve aligned ourselves with the right partners so that manufacturers will be immediately able to walk away from the workshop with finance and process insight of how fast and easy it is to integrate a cobot in their facility to help solve their workforce challenges. Impact Washington is here to help with the entire process.”

The first workshop will be held in February at the AMP Training Center in Kent. Subsequent workshops will be held in Vancouver, Snohomish, and Yakima or Spokane.

Registration is now open for Kent – all others will open soon. Space is limited. To have your name added to our “I’m interested list.” please email Events@impactwashington.org  with your preferred location, and we’ll contact once all location arrangements are confirmed.
