This course is 3 modules, totaling 20 hours. In-person and remote training is available. A certificate is provided at each training completion

 

1. Quality Management Systems Overview

This training is a practical and engaging overview of Quality Management Systems (QMS). It focuses on how organizations can build consistent processes, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement. Participants will explore the principles behind effective quality systems and learn how to apply them to real-world manufacturing and business environments. The session emphasizes hands-on understanding, enabling attendees to connect quality practices with organizational goals and customer expectations.

What Participants Will Gain: This 4-hour workshop is designed for all participants seeking to understand Quality Management Systems. It is the first course in preparing people to become internal auditors.

2. General Internal Auditor Training

Equips participants with the knowledge and skills to conduct internal audits that are objective, structured, and value driven. It emphasizes the auditor’s role in supporting organizational improvement by applying professional judgment, gathering and analyzing evidence, and communicating findings effectively. This workshop is part two of three required to train internal auditors. The next course in the series concentrates on the requirements of the standard your organization follows. Impact Washington offers training in ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 14001, and ISO 13485.

What Participants Will Gain: This 8-hour workshop is designed for new auditors and current auditors seeking to improve their skills who already have a working knowledge of the benefits of Quality Systems.

  • Plan, conduct, and lead audits
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of management systems
  • Collect and analyze objective data
  • Identify nonconformities and opportunities for improvement
  • Prepare and present audit reports
  • Follow up on corrective actions

3. Standard Specific Training

Provides participants with a clear understanding of how to evaluate and verify a quality management system in practice to a specific standard. The training emphasizes a process-based and risk-driven approach, giving auditors the tools and confidence to assess effectiveness, identify gaps, and support continual improvement. This workshop is part three of three courses required to train internal auditors. Impact Washington offers training in ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 13485.

What Participants Will Gain: This 8-hour workshop is designed for new auditors and current auditors seeking to improve their skills who already have a working knowledge of the benefits of Quality Systems and best practices in internal auditing in general. Each participant will receive a certificate of participation.

  • Interpret and verify the standard requirements are met in existing processes
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of management systems compared to the standard
  • Identify non-conformities to the standard and opportunities for improvement
